Guarulhos High School was my second home. I taught economics there from 1987 to 1997, mostly mixed-ability classes.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Peixoto
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
