Ms. Payne

I taught geography at Atlas Boys' School in Los Angeles from 1985 to 2000. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 600 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Payne
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
