I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 16 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I never raise my voice.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Ms. Payne
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ms. Payne: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
