I teach religious studies and history at Willow Creek Girls' School, Tacoma. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Patel
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Patel: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
