I taught geography at Machakos Grammar School in Machakos from 1995 to 2016. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 990 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
