Ms. Otieno
Physics and music teacher, Kasarani
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Hope Secondary School
- 2000 to 2014
- English, Swahili
I taught physics at Hope Secondary School in Kasarani from 2000 to 2014. Most days I taught teenagers, and my door was open at lunch.
Over the years I had 600 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Otieno
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ms. Otieno: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
