I teach economics at Dar es Salaam Grammar School in Dar es Salaam since 1993. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I never turn anyone away.
Over the years I've had 1,160 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Otieno
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
