Ms. Okonkwo
19 years teaching early years in Onitsha
- 🇳🇬 Onitsha, Anambra, Nigeria
- Since 2008
- English, Hausa
For 18 years I have been the early years teacher at Gateway Academy. I teach Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 990 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Okonkwo
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Ms. Okonkwo: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me early years in 2010 at Gateway Academy. I still remember the time the class pet escaped.
