Ms. Okello
17 years teaching biology in Likoni
- 🇰🇪 Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya
- Likoni Middle School
- 1979 to 2003
- English, Swahili, French
I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and 24 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 1,220 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

If you were in my mixed-ability classes class, you probably remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.

What gifts mean to Ms. Okello: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
