Ms. Oikonomou
23 years teaching English literature in Thessaloniki
- 🇬🇷 Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia, Greece
- Thessaloniki Primary School
- Since 1979
- English, Greek
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 47 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 2,630 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Ms. Oikonomou: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
