I teach physical education at Winston-Salem Public School in Winston-Salem since 1987. Most days I teach Grade 4, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Newman
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
