Ms. Nelson
20 years teaching biology in Bakersfield
- 🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States
- Phoenix Middle School
- Since 1988
- English
I teach biology at Phoenix Middle School in Bakersfield since 1988. Most days I teach Grade 4, and I learn every name in the first week.
Over the years I've had 1,440 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ms. Nelson
If you were in my Grade 4 class, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

What gifts mean to Ms. Nelson: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
