I teach special education and social studies at Sakura Academy, San Antonio. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 1,160 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Ms. Neal: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
