I taught history at Jakarta High School in Jakarta from 2012 to 2022. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 400 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Nasution
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
