For 14 years I was the design and technology teacher at Jacaranda Middle School. I taught the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.

What gifts mean to Ms. Naguib: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me design and technology in 2015 at Jacaranda Middle School. I still remember that terrible school play.
