Ms. Mwende
Special education and social studies teacher, Kakamega
- 🇰🇪 Kakamega, Kakamega, Kenya
- Ashford Academy
- Since 2017
- English, Swahili
I teach special education at Ashford Academy in Kakamega since 2017. Most days I teach primary school children, and I never turn anyone away.
I've run the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I walk the dog by the river.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ms. Mwende
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Mwende: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
