I taught accounting at St. Mary's Secondary School in Nairobi from 1989 to 2008. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I played music while people worked.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the national park, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
