I taught English literature at São Paulo Secondary School in São Paulo from 2018 to 2025. Most days I taught Year 10, and I never turned anyone away. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

More about Ms. Moreira

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Moreira: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
