I taught art at Halifax Public School in Halifax from 1990 to 2016. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I ran the science fair after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
