Ms. Mia
24 years teaching home economics in Dhaka
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Dhaka Public School
- 1992 to 2019
- English
I taught home economics at Dhaka Public School in Dhaka from 1992 to 2019. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 650 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you were in my Grade 8 class, you probably remember the surprise birthday cake.

What gifts mean to Ms. Mia: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me home economics in 2000 at Dhaka Public School. I still remember that terrible school play.
