Ms. Mendoza
Biology teacher at Manila Middle School, 2001 to 2023

I taught biology at Manila Middle School in Manila from 2001 to 2023. Most days I taught Year 9, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 1,140 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Ms. Mendoza
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me biology in 2003 at Manila Middle School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
