I taught statistics and geography at Augusta Girls' School, Augusta. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I ran the gardening club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Ms. Mendez
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
