Ms. Mendez
Teacher at Beacon Public School, loves art
- 🇺🇸 Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States
- Beacon Public School
- 1998 to 2011
- English
I taught art at Beacon Public School in Winston-Salem from 1998 to 2011. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Mendez
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Mendez: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

I'm a pharmacist now and I honestly think it started in your classroom. Greetings from Nairobi.
