Ms. Mendes
17 years teaching accounting in Belém
- 🇧🇷 Belém, Pará, Brazil
- Belém Boys' School
- Since 2006
- English, Portuguese
For 20 years I have been the accounting teacher at Belém Boys' School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ms. Mendes
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Mendes: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
