I teach home economics and English literature at Belo Horizonte Middle School, Belo Horizonte. I play music while people worked.
Over the years I've had 560 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Ms. Mendes
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Mendes: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
