Music and computer science teacher, Hawassa
- 🇪🇹 Hawassa, Sidama, Ethiopia
- Hawassa Public School
- Since 1989
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a clerk, and 37 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Ms. Mekonnen
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Mekonnen: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
