I taught drama at Riyadh Public School in Riyadh from 1995 to 2009. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Ms. Mebarek: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
