Ms. Maurya

Teacher at Jabalpur Girls' School, loves English literature

🇮🇳 Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India
1991 to 2022
English, Hindi

I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 31 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I had 1,400 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Ms. Maurya

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Maurya: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
