I taught home economics and design and technology at Maple Ridge Secondary School, Mysuru. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 250 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Malhotra
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

I failed home economics twice before you. After you I passed with a B. Thank you. Greetings from Dehiwala.
