I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 25 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 530 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Makarov
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Makarov: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
