Ms. Maina
31 years teaching mathematics in Thika
- 🇰🇪 Thika, Kiambu, Kenya
- Good Shepherd Grammar School
- 2001 to 2025
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 24 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 1,080 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Maina
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Maina: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
