For 39 years I have been the history teacher at Dhaka Public School. I teach Grade 4 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week.
More about Ms. Mahmud
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Mahmud: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
