Ms. Mahendra
Early years and geography teacher, Jakarta
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- Jakarta Academy
- 1986 to 2003
- English, Indonesian
For 17 years I was the early years teacher at Jakarta Academy. I taught Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I had 490 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ms. Mahendra
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
