I teach special education at Meadowbank High School in Ciudad de México since 1986. Most days I teach first-year students, and I never turn anyone away.
Over the years I've had 840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Macías
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Macías: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
