Ms. Macharia
Design and technology and social studies teacher, Naivasha
- 🇰🇪 Naivasha, Nakuru, Kenya
- Windsor Technical College
- 1980 to 2005
- English, Swahili, Spanish
I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 25 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Ms. Macharia: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
