I taught agriculture at Belo Horizonte Secondary School in Belo Horizonte from 2002 to 2019. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Over the years I had 610 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Machado
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Machado: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
