Ms. Lie
Biology and design and technology teacher, Jakarta
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- Jakarta Grammar School
- 2009 to 2024
- English, Indonesian
I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 15 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ms. Lie
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Lie: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
