I taught history at Elmwood Primary School in Marrakesh from 1984 to 1999. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
