I teach chemistry at Holy Cross Middle School in Newcastle upon Tyne since 2004. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I've had 860 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Larson: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
