I teach special education at Hillcrest Secondary School in Jakarta since 2003. Most days I teach the youngest children, and I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I've had 620 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Kusuma
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Kusuma: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
