I taught English literature at Queensway High School in Kyiv from 1978 to 1988. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 490 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Ms. Kravchenko: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
