I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and eleven years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
