Ms. Kariuki
Retired chemistry teacher from Zanzibar City Grammar School
- 🇹🇿 Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
- Zanzibar City Grammar School
- 1992 to 2004
- English, Swahili
I taught chemistry and art at Zanzibar City Grammar School, Zanzibar City. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 490 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Kariuki
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Kariuki: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
