Ms. Juma
Geography teacher at Nairobi Technical College, Since 1993

I teach geography at Nairobi Technical College in Nairobi since 1993. Most days I teach mixed-ability classes, and I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I've had 1,490 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Juma
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Juma: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
