I teach environmental science and chemistry at Elmwood Girls' School, Tiruchirappalli. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 2,160 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Jat
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Jat: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
