Ms. Ivanov

Special education teacher at Saint Petersburg Grammar School, 2005 to 2019

I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 14 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Ms. Ivanov

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
