I teach English literature and history at Shinjuku Middle School, Shinjuku. I never turn anyone away. I've coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

More about Ms. Imai

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
