Ms. Hughes
Music and accounting teacher, Lexington
- 🇺🇸 Lexington, Kentucky, United States
- Gateway Secondary School
- Since 1985
- English
For 41 years I have been the music teacher at Gateway Secondary School. I teach Year 9 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Ms. Hughes
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Hughes: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me music in 2021 at Gateway Secondary School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
