I teach special education and history at Atlas Primary School, St. Petersburg. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
I've coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Hughes
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
