I taught social studies and Spanish at Trinity Middle School, Bakersfield. I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 810 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Holmes
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
